Terza Luna is a small company that has been importing quality loose leaf teas, spices, and incense since 2011. Based in Bari, it sells its products in Italy and abroad.

Bea & Andrea are the owners of this small adventure that began in April 2011, born out of a passion for herbs, the principles that inspire nature, the functioning, and chemistry of plants.
Not only that, Beatriz is a naturopath and nurse who provides advice and guides our customers towards a healthier diet, with the help of some herbal teas and supplements.
Andrea takes care of the tea and spice part, always ready to discover new harvests, new small organic producers to source from.

Our goal is to share our passion for these plants, provide our customers with the best selections on the market while maintaining affordable prices, favoring the quality/price ratio.

Satisfying more customers: from those approaching tea for the first time, with our flavored and "classic" teas, to true connoisseurs, who will find only the best in our premium selection.

Our passion grows little by little, the world of tea, spices, and incense is a world that is gradually discovered, like when moving from the periphery of a circle towards the center: it is done gradually, passing through increasingly deeper layers.

It couldn't be otherwise, these are fascinating and immensely vast worlds; just think that tea has about 4000 years of history, and a lot has happened in these four millennia.

This is also what we are most passionate about: the possibility of telling infinite stories, the fact that, despite their ancient age, tea, spices, and incense always remain young (and help others do the same). The fact that they were next to emperors and princes so far in time and space, and today they are here with us in the same way.

Take a look at where we are.

Why the name "Terza Luna"?

"By the end of the VIII century, about 30,000 people were engaged, for a period of thirty days a year, in collecting and drying the tea tribute. Choosing an auspicious day of the third moon (approximately in April), the officials in charge of monitoring this operation gathered in a temple at the foot of Mount Ming-Ling and offered sacrifices to the mountain deities. Immediately after, at the first light of dawn, a real army of tea pickers, mostly young girls, was sent to the mountain and monitored in their movements by red signaling flags.
At noon, the collection was interrupted, and during the rest of the day, the leaves were dried." (Taken from "The Book of Tea" by John Blofeld, Ed. Mediterranee)

The third moon of the year, as can be seen from this story, was and still is a very important period for the world of tea. It is the most favorable period of the year for tea harvesting, a sacred moon, at the rising of which sacrifices were made, prayers were said for a good harvest, and for the tea of the year to be of excellent quality.

The third moon reminds us how tea is an almost divine plant, with a long millenary history, of principles, emperors, farmers, and monks traveling spreading word, religions, and tea.
