White Clay
- External use -

Origin: China

Chemical name: Hydrated aluminum silicate

White clay is composed of a rich mix of minerals: magnesium, iron, calcium, potassium, manganese, phosphorus, zinc, aluminum, copper, selenium, aluminum, and silicon, which gives it the characteristic ivory-silvery color.

It is also called kaolin, taking its name from the Kao-Ling region of China, where the first deposit of white clay was discovered.

Its purifying properties and the gentleness of its neutral pH on the skin make white clay a precious element for natural cosmetics.

Properties and benefits of White Clay

Its gentleness makes it suitable even for the most delicate and mature skins that need to purify and regain elasticity, without stressing the skin with counterproductive aggressive treatments.

White Clay for the face

On the face, white clay is used for DIY production of creams and masks, thanks to its purifying, absorbing, and mattifying properties.

Among the most effective natural remedies for oily skin, pimples, and acne is white clay, capable of providing a deep cleansing of the pores, thanks to its antibacterial properties, without being aggressive on the skin and avoiding the risk of dehydration and redness.

White Clay Face Mask

To prepare a white clay face mask at home, simply mix a tablespoon of kaolin with rose hydrosol until a dense consistency is reached. For more mature skins, whose goal is not to dry out but to tone, half a teaspoon of almond oil or rosehip oil can be added.

The white clay mask should be applied all over the face, avoiding the eye and mouth area, and should be gently removed with a cloth moistened with warm water before it dries completely and its paste hardens on the face to enjoy all the benefits of white clay, avoiding any skin stress.

White Clay for the body

For the body, white clay proves to be effective in preventing and treating stretch marks, through remineralizing wraps, ideal for improving the tone of the skin on the belly, buttocks, and legs.

Among its outstanding abilities are draining and lipolytic properties that make it useful for combating water retention and melting adipose deposits.

The properties of white clay for external use are not limited to cosmetic effects, however. It also has a healing power, given by aluminum, useful in the regeneration of skin tissues, and a pain-relieving effect on bruises and sprains.

White Clay for teeth

Truly every part of our body can benefit from the properties of white clay, even the teeth. In fact, it is possible to create at home with a few natural elements an excellent refreshing, antibacterial, and whitening compound.
