The Oriental Beauty oolong has honeyed notes, slightly fruity. A tea to be consumed in large quantities, with little caffeine, refreshing and pleasant. A caress for our palate.
This Oriental Beauty comes from Miaoli County, Taiwan, one of the key places for the collection and cultivation of this incredible tea.

We really liked it for its delicacy; we tried to find an Oriental Beauty that was not too expensive, in fact its price can go up to 40 euros per hectogram!

MAIN CHARACTERISTIC OF ORIENTAL BEAUTY

The leaves of Oriental Beauty oolong are bitten while still on the plants by an insect: the Jacobiasca formosana, which produces micro traumas in the leaves that are the dots you see in the photo. These are small spots of oxidation that will give the infusion a particularly sweet and honeyed taste.
Dong Fan Mei Ren is almost always an organic oolong tea as the presence of pesticides would kill or drive away the insects, so precious for its processing.
